John W. Conroy , Q.C., is a barrister and solicitor with his own firm, Conroy & Company, of Abbotsford, British Columbia . 

He was granted a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from the University of British Columbia in 1968 and Bachelor of Laws degree in 1971.

Articled Clerk to the late D.B. MacKinnon, of the firm of Harper, Grey Easton, Vancouver, B.C. (subsequently Mr. Justice MacKinnon of the British Columbia Supreme Court.) May 1971-1972

Mr. Conroy is the author of  Canadian Prison Law, Butterworths, 1980.

Mr. Conroy was called to the British Columbia Bar in May 1972 and appointed Queen's Counsel in 1996.  He has served as:
