Prof. Kathy M. Mack received her B.A. from Rice University in 1972 and a J.D. from Stanford University in 1975.

She was admitted to the California Bar in 1975. She holds an LL.M. from University of Adelaide.

Between 1976 and 1979, she practiced criminal law in California. From 1979 to 1981 she taught at Stanford University Law School, her teaching focusing on clinical legal education, including counseling and negotiation instruction as well as advocacy.

From 1984 to 1995, she taught at the Law School of University of Adelaide. In 1996, she took a position as Associate Professor at Flinders University School of Law, and in 2004, she became a full Professor.

Her publications include a book on court-connected A.D.R., and a book (co-authored with Dr. Sharyn Roach Anleu) examining discussions and agreements leading to guilty pleas. In 2001, she and Dr. Roach Anleu began a national study of the magistracy in Australia, in cooperation with all magistrates’ courts and the Australian Association of Magistrates.
