Prof. Finbarr McAuley

Prof. Finbarr McAuley is Chairman, Criminal Law Codification Advisory Committee, and Professor of Law, University College Dublin, Ireland.

He is the Jean Monnet Professor of European Criminal Justice at University College Dublin, and Director of the Institute of Criminology.

He is editor of The Irish Jurist.

Professor McAuley is a member of the Law Reform Commission. He has also served as a member of several government committees on criminal law.

He has published widely in the fields of domestic, comparative and international criminal law; and has taught at the Universities of Natal, Rome 'La Sapienza' and Copenhagen. He has co-edited with Dr. Ian O'Donnell 'Criminal Justice History: Themes and Controversies from pre-Independence Ireland', published by Four Courts Press, (2003).
